Certifications and Quality Standards

Cardamom lots are graded and documented against the Tanzanian export requirements the Tanzania Bureau of Standards administers, with testing by an accredited laboratory. Our TBS-certified facility is the Mtwara operation, which handles cashew and sesame; cardamom is cured and graded in the highlands, outside that certificate, so we do not describe it as TBS-certified.

Coverage

Grade, moisture and foreign-matter documentation per lot, prepared for Tanzanian export clearance and the buyer's destination requirements.

Every lot is analysed by an independent laboratory before despatch, moisture, volatile-oil content, foreign matter and empty or immature pods, with any residue screening required by the destination market.

Each carton is tied to a specific Tanzanian highland origin, the Uluguru Mountains of Morogoro or the Usambara Mountains of Tanga, and to a defined picking window inside the season.

Organic green cardamom is sourced from dedicated farm clusters in the Uluguru foothills. Chain-of-custody documentation is arranged per contract against the buyer's certification scheme rather than held as a blanket claim.
